Many parents need help, friendship, advice or support during those early years when children are young.

There is no rulebook for raising a family and sometimes it can seem overwhelming, particularly if your family is going through difficult times.

Home-Start UK was established in 1973. We believe that parents are the key when it comes to providing a secure and happy environment for children. Itís just that sometimes they need a bit of extra help.

Through our network of trained parent volunteers we support parents who are struggling perhaps with post-natal illness, disability, bereavement or social isolation.

Our volunteers visit families in their own homes giving practical and emotional support.

A referral can come from anyone including the family itself. All referrals need the prior consent of the family.
